Riku smirked as she pulled away from the kisses she'd been giving him. He felt horrible that she was crying. It made him feel like it was his fault. Well, it was his fault. She really did draw conclusions from what he said, though, didn't she? He'd have to watch what he said from now on. At least throughout this conversation. He looked down at her, stroking her hair with his thumb lightly. "It's ok," he whispered, "I'm not going anywhere." And he told the truth. As long as Bella Swan remained human, he would be in Forks. And, knowing Cullen's risistance to changing people unless they were in severe need to be changed, he had a feeling that would be a while.

He flashed a small, glimmering smirk before leaning back down and pressing his lips to hers. He hoped he'd reassured her that he wasn't going anywhere yet. But with all this new information, who knew what could be running through her head. He wrapped his arms around her hips and pulled her closer to him. He didn't want any spaces or gaps between them. It was just the two of them now.

Riku smirked as she called the moment cheezy. Well, maybe it was cheezy. But he didn't mind it. He was just happy her mind was off the news now. He didn't want her to think about it anymore. "Who ever said cheezy was bad?" he asked, smirking. And before he knew it, he felt her lips against his once again. He smiled as he returned the kiss, pulling her close again.

Her thoughts were exciting to him. That she worried about what he thought about her. That she felt like this moment would be with her forever. And, for a vampire, forever literally meant forever. He had already formulated a plan in his head that he would hold to when he would have to leave, but he knew he wouldn't need this plan for quite some time. It was just something he'd devised for when the time came. But there was no need for word of it now. Everything he thought of would only become useful in time.

Riku smiled as she remembered his power. He had, in fact, been listening to her mind the entire time. But he wouldn't admit that just now, would he? He looked down at her, smirking. "Only just now," he whispered. He figured she would still be embarassed even at that. He smirked as he saw her blush a bit a knew she was a bit embarassed. He didn't know why, but he figured he wouldn't ask either. It probably wouldn't help the situation any more.

Riku attempted to hold in his laughter as she looked away, clearly embarassed about her most recent thought. He would have been embarassed too if he'd been caught thinking things like that. But his laughter slipped from his lips and he looked away. "I thought it was nice," he admitted, looking back at her. He heard her voice again, but what he heard her say was a bit surprising to him. "You can know everything about anyone?" he clarified, his eyes looking at her suspiciously. It was an extremely rare gift. He was surprised she hadn't been approached by Aro yet. Without speaking another word though, he took her hand. He glanced at it quickly before letting his eyes go back to hers. Then, he pulled her hand up slowly so that it was only a few inches from his forehead.

Riku was shocked as she touched his forehead. He didn't think she would actually do it. Even more shock swelled over him as he saw her fall to the ground. Immediately he kneeled down next to her. He picked her up, cradling her shoulders in his right arm. "Brooke," he said, shaking her shoulders. He was worried. He had so many crazy events that had happened in his hundred years of exsistance, he wasn't shocked that she'd fainted. But he was still worried. She had fainted almost immediately. Plus, she was lying in the snow at night. It was no doubt freezing.

Immediately he scooped her up from the snow, shaking the crysalized snow from his arms. He didn't exactly know where to go, but he figured they had to go somewhere. Even vampires could freeze, after all. He turned to face the still-burning club and smirked. A thought popped into his mind and he started towards the flames. He stopped only inches away from the burning building, just far enough away so that the jumping flames couldn't touch them. He held Brooke in his arms, watching her face for any sign of conciousness.

Riku smirked. "I never said my life had been easy," he said. "Besides, you touched your finger to my forehead, not me." He moved his eyes to the fire, slightly relieved that Brooke had woken up so early. He had guessed she would have been out cold for at least 15 more minutes. This early recovery was surprising. He smirked as he heard her mind suddenly go blank. No doubt the relief of pressure had made her feel so free that it was the equivalent of being humanly drunk.

The compliment made Riku smile. He had heard things about his eyes, seeing as they were... different from others like him. His eyes were seafoam blue when he wasn't hungry, which was hardly ever. Riku chuckled as Brooke drunkenly tried to crawl from his arms. He didn't pull her back, amused at her actions. He made sure and watched her, though, knowing her own two feet were a danger to her at the moment. And, easily enough, she slipped and fell to the ground. He laughed and waited until her eyes were closed. Then, he slowly walked towards her. She couldn't stay in the snow. And he was the only one around to watch after her.

He bent down, wrapping his arms around her waist, and lifted her up to her feet. He kept his arms wrapped around her waist after he stood her up, knowing that letting her go would most likely just end up in her back on the ground. "I have a messed up past and now here I am, looking after you because of it," he added, smirking. He looked down at her, his smile transforming into a crooked smirk.
