Rosalie looked up at Malachi and nodded. "Yeah, that's true." Her eyes searched her surroundings again, out of pure habit--since she'd have to do this often when she was out hunting and had to make sure no humans were around to see her. Also, she was trying to come up with a topic to talk about. She was usually really good at coming up with thinks to talk about, but her mind was still consumed with Malachi's past as well as her own. "Soo..." she began awkwardly, turning her gaze back on him.

Malachi watched the other before him, seeing her search around the surroundings, maybe hoping a certain someone would appear out of no where or something of the other. He pushed the thought away, as it was a habit of his own to search all around him, and seeing Rosalie doing the same, was probably the same reason he did it as well, to be cautious.
When she did look back to him, he gave a faint smile to her, a small chuckle coming from his lips, as the silence was starting to become awkward between the two of them. It was bound to happen after the previous conversation of their past. He thought for a moment of what to talk to this blond about, he didn't think the two of them ever had a conversation like this, even a small one "Hmm.." this was more frustrating then he thought, but Malachi just pushed the first thought that came to his mind "How is your family? he knew it was cheesy, but it was better than the silence.

Rosalie surpressed the urge to laugh, it was a random question--but she probably wouldn't have been able to come up with anything better. "They're fine." Rosalie answered, "I'm not too crazy about Edward's new girlfriend though..." Her tone darkened slightly as she thought of Bella. She internally rolled her eyes. The stupid human.

Malachi tilted his head off to the side a bit at hearing she didn't care to much for Edward's girlfriend Bella "Hmm, interesting.." he told her, with a small shrug "But, I can kind of see your reasoning behind it," he gave her a reassuring smile. Yes, even Malachi himself was jealous and envied those that are human; he has had human girlfriends in the past before, but could never let the relationship go to far and thus causing them to become unhappy and when he'd see that girl with a human guy, he'd become jealous and envy all of them. They had something he didn't have, a beating heart, warmth to his skin and not having to resist the urge to drain the life from them.

Rosalie nodded, "You're probably the only one who does. I know Edward knows why, but he doesn't really understand that much." She shrugged non-chalantly. It was true that no one but Edward really really knew why Rosalie hated Bella so much. It was mainly because she was jealous of her--not that Rosalie would ever admit that. Edward could see that in her mind, but didn't really truly understand all of it.

He gave her a small nod, he did know how she felt, jealous and envy of a human was one that wasn't hard to understand, but he could kind of see why Edward didn't really understand or even see a problem to it; he's in love with Bella and everyone knows it well. "That's only because he's in love, Rosalie." Malachi told her truthfully "I'm sure if you weren't with Emmett and you found a human that you were attracted to because of how sweet their blood is, you wouldn't understand why most would envy him." he gave her a small shrug, hoping that she understand what he was saying.

Rosalie sighed, "I know, I just wish he wasn't sometimes." She listened to what Malachi was saying and it made sense. She didn't like it though. She was the kind of person who was very stubborn and hated admitting she was wrong. "Yeah, I see what you're saying."

Malachi slightly frowned as he heard that Rosalie sometimes wished her brother wasn't in love, okay, so he was understanding how she was feeling about being jealous of the human girl, but he'd never wish that someone wasn't in love with someone else. To him, that really just seemed a bit selfish and he didn't know Rosalie well, but he knew that she could be a bit selfish at times and he decided to not comment on it either. Instead, he gave a smile towards her last words and nodded his head a bit "Good." he told her with the smile still upon his lips "You know, you could, for your brother and family's sake, at least pretend to be happy that he's happy." Malachi suggested with a small shrug.

"Oh, I could. I tried once, but they all know I'm lying anyway, so it really doesn't make a difference." Rosalie said. It was true, of course when she did pretend she was very sarcastic and obvious. "I just try to not be home when Bella's there. I try to avoid her." When Bella first came over, Rosalie wouldn't even come downstairs to meet her. But rather, she made Emmett stay with her in their room until Bella left.
